Maundy Thursday at 5:30 pm
We continue our Holy Week observance with our Maundy Thursday service on March 29 beginning at 5:30 pm. We will begin in the hall with a simple supper of delicious home made soup with bread and cheese. During the meal we will hear and reflect on the Maundy Thursday story from the Gospel of John. We will then re-enact the action of Jesus washing the feet of his disciples. Following this, we will move into the church for a service of Holy Communion in preparation for Good Friday.
Please join us – all are welcome.
Good Friday service at 10 am
This somber liturgy recounts the story of the Crucifixion. It is a prayerful and contemplative service and again, all are welcome.
Easter Sunday at 8 am and 10:15 am
Celebrate the Good News of Christ’s Resurrection! We are encouraging people to wear either a festive Easter bonnet or a celebratory Easter tie. Bring some cut flowers from your garden to add to our Easter Cross. The children who made Easter gardens at our recent family event are encouraged to bring them back so we can see the new growth of the seeds we planted
St. Agnes of Rome was a young woman who died for her faith in about the year 304 CE. She is often depicted with a lamb because ‘Agnes’ sounds like the Latin word ‘agnus’ which means lamb. This year our celebration of our patron saint will be low key compared with previous years. We will have muffins and fruit following the 10:15 am service. Please join us!

In addition to our regular morning services at 8 am and 10:15 am, this Sunday we will also celebrate Christmas Eve at 7 pm. This is a family-friendly service with great carols, candles and Communion. Here is a sneak preview of the bulletin cover illustration made by Katy Dobyns:
